Why I Created the FlagoDNA Roadmap
Building software independently means making many decisions every day.
Which feature should be improved first?
Which project should continue?
Which idea should wait?
As FlagoDNA grows, I realized that users and supporters should not only see the final applications. They should also understand the direction behind them.
That is why I created the FlagoDNA Roadmap.
More Than a List of Features
A roadmap is not only about showing upcoming features.
For me, it is a way to share the journey.
FlagoDNA has grown from small applications into a collection of tools built around different needs โ from Muslim daily utilities, privacy-focused browsing, to small business software.
Each project has its own purpose, but they share the same principle:
Building technology that respects people.
Why Transparency Matters
When building independently, communication becomes important.
Large companies often have teams dedicated to product communication. Independent developers usually do not have that luxury.
Sometimes users only see:
- a new version released
- an update on the Play Store
- a new application
But behind every release, there are many decisions, experiments, and priorities.
The roadmap is a small way to make that process more visible.
How the Roadmap Works
The FlagoDNA Roadmap has three stages:
Now
Projects and improvements currently receiving active attention.
Next
Planned improvements and projects that are being prepared.
Later
Long-term ideas that may be explored when the right time comes.
The roadmap is not a fixed promise or a strict schedule.
Development can change based on user feedback, technical challenges, and available resources.
Current Direction
Some of the current focus areas include:
- Improving HadisKu through the next beta updates
- Expanding KasirCepat with more useful cashier features
- Exploring future projects such as Muslim Launcher and Tiketea
Every project moves step by step.
The goal is not only to create more software, but to create software that remains useful and meaningful.
Building Slowly, Building Independently
FlagoDNA is built independently.
That means progress can sometimes be slower. There are no large teams behind every decision, and every improvement requires careful prioritization.
But independence also provides something valuable:
The ability to build with intention.
No unnecessary tracking.
No attention-driven design.
No pressure to follow every trend.
Just a focus on creating tools that respect users and their time.
The Journey Continues
The roadmap is a living document.
Some ideas will grow.
Some ideas may change.
Some ideas may wait.
But every step contributes to the bigger direction of FlagoDNA.
